Ronald Meester is full professor in probability theory at VU University in Amsterdam.
He has been involved in model theory, philosophy and applications in many different fields: Theoretical Physics, Epidemiology, Biology, Law, Philosophy, and Engineering.
He has authored around 150 research papers and 13 books.
His last book was dedicated to the use of models in policy making and was jointly authored with Marc Jacobs.
His current research interests range from forensic probability and statistics over belief functions over random processes, to the philosophy of mathematics and probability theory.
