INTRODUCTION BY THE PROGRAMME DIRECTOR

Drs Sam Brokken

Over the last few decades, our social and biological paradigms have been under increasing strain from capitalism, big pharma, big tech, and big everything.

We should examine the consequences of our everyday efforts to provide the best possible care to our patients and clients.
Do we truly use science, or do we just follow consensus without examining our methods?
According to independent studies, social determinants account for up to 80% of our health and well-being.
Are we dealing with this as healthcare providers?

Even if they term it integrative or holistic, much of the schooling we got is still bound in reductionist thought patterns. It has become a systemic disease, leading us to blindly trust governments and global organisations in advocating 'one-size-fits-all' solutions.
As if each human being has the same genetic makeup, responds the same way, and has a physiological system that does not vary over time.
The field of AI in the biological and sociological domains is also gaining traction, with the goal of improving tailored treatment and assistance. That is yet to be determined. With so many variables at play in a human's existence, it seems unlikely that AI will progress beyond proposing another brick in the wall as a remedy.
AI can only learn from what is fed into it, and if they are all so-called consensus models, we may find ourselves in the same worrying situations in which we are now.

It is our contention that the healthcare sector would benefit from a reduction in generalisation and an increase in the implementation of personalised preventative strategies. The most effective remedies are often administered by those with an in-depth comprehension of health and wellness, along with a profound knowledge of their patients' intricacies and nuances.

This philosophy calls for a shift in how you set up your daily routine and the amount of time you spend with clients or patients in order to build a relationship that will last a lifetime.
Both patients and other practitioners will be motivated by the improvements you make. In order to effectuate global change, it is imperative that you embrace the role of ambassadors for holistic sciences.

If we want to improve our healthcare system, we must first challenge ourselves, our ideals, our expertise, and our protocols.
We at the Humani-Well Education Academy wish to discover the greatest path forward with you!

We are not here to tell you what to do or how to do it; rather, we are here to assist you towards critical thinking, professional development, and the advancement of humanity.
